Problems tracking Clickbank 'Engagements' in ClickMagick?

WARNING! CAUTION! ACHTUNG!
Expect inaccurate tracking of Engagements from Clickbank

1. DOUBLE-CHECK YOUR ENGAGEMENT SET-UP (PER THE GUIDE):

Please note the MOST IMPORTANT point from that guide below...

Clickbank communicates OFI (Order Form Impressions, aka Engagements) to third-parties like ClickMagick using old technology. One day you will wake up & find that technology no longer works anywhere. The entire online advertising industry is phasing out this old technology as we speak.

2. MAKE SURE YOUR ENCRYPTION IS SET TO "NO" IN CLICKBANK:

3. DIRECT LINK TYPE HOPLINKS DON'T WORK

Some versions of the Clickbank 'hoplink' don't work with ClickMagick - namely, the direct link type hoplink.

This type of hoplink contains the vendor's URL rather than the familiar Clickbank URL.

MAKE SURE TO ONLY USE THE STANDARD VERSION OF THE CLICKBANK HOPLINK, WHICH CONTAINS THE CLICKBANK URL (NOT THE VENDOR URL).

4. MAKE SURE YOUR TESTING PROCEDURES ARE ACCURATE

In order to perform a proper test, you need to always do these two things...

1) Before testing anything, always Delete Test Data first as this guide shows (otherwise it may not track everything you do):

2) Then you need to visit your landing page with a valid UTM link. This is what creates the all-important Visitor ID and starts everything to track.

5. 'PASS ON PARAMETERS' & YOUR PAGE BUILDER

If your page builder has Pass On Parameters enabled for the affiliate links on your page, then this can interfere with tracking Engagements and/or Sales.

The Pass On Parameters setting passes unnecessary data, which can stomp on good data, and cause tracking to break.

Here is how to disable that setting in Convertri for example:
